Country Music Hall of Fame group The Oak Ridge Boys will make their return to Southwest Louisiana next year here in Lake Charles.

This legendary country group is known for so many great songs that have become standards in country music. The band was put together in 1947 and back then they were known as the Oak Ridge Quartet singing and performing Southern gospel music through the 1950s.

The 1980s were good for the Oak Ridge Boys as they had huge success and hits with Elvira, Bobby Sue, Fancy-Free, American Made, and Trying to Love To Women.

All in all, the Oak Ridge Boys have had 17 #1 singles to their credit, the Oak Ridge boys will have you singing to them all night long. One of our favorite songs by the boys is Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight.  Take a listen.

On October 25, 2015, the Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the category of modern-era artists. They were inducted by the now late Kenny Rogers who is also a Hall of Famer.

The boys will be in town on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center.  The show will start at 8:30 pm. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10:00 am.
