Ten Little Known Louisiana Laws You’re Probably Breaking
I'm laughing already! Louisiana has some really crazy laws. In these days and times, I'm not shocked by much, but I must admit some of these rules and regulations left me speechless. Laws were enacted to help control and protect society. They are supposed to keep order and provide a standard for behavior in civilized civilizations. Right?
Right. Well, tell that to the folks in Washington. As of late, upholding the law is the last thing on people's minds. These days, the nation's lawmakers don't follow the laws of the land themselves, much less uphold them. That's a whole other story. For now, I thought I would give Louisiana's law abiding citizens a heads-up. If you are doing any of the following, you are breaking the law.
Below are 10 Little Known Louisiana Laws You're Probably Breaking.
- It's illegal to tell a lie.
- Kids can't play a coin-operated football game without an adult present.
- You have to cook garbage before you give it to your hogs.
- Stealing your neighbors alligator can lead to a ten year prison sentence.
- You can't tie your horse to a tree along the interstate.
- It's illegal to use cuss words while using the phone in Sulphur.
- It's illegal for kids to play anywhere but in a playground. And if you want to play in Lafayette Square, you better have a permit.
- In New Orleans, you must have at least one hand on the handlebars of a bicycle or tricycle at all times.
- It's illegal to shine lasers on police..
- All reptile owners must keep their animals 200 yards away from all Mardi Gras parades.
