Wow, two of the biggest stars in Cajun music celebrate their birthday today. Wayne Toups and Jo-El Sonnier are celebrating their birthdays! Here is a little history on both of these legendary artists!

Cajun music superstar and Grammy award winner Steve Riley is celebrating his birthday today!  Steve has been in the Cajun music scene for a long time with his great sound and terrific songs.

Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys are coming back to Lake Charles and will be live in concert this Saturday night, May 18th at Yesterdays Night club. Steve Riley has had a pretty good year so far. Steve won his first Grammy award along with Wayne Toups and Wilson Savoy for the Band Courtbouillon back in February.

The Grammy Award ceremonies were back in February and 'The Band Courtbouillon' which consists of Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Regional Roots Music Album”. At the ceremony, Wayne Toups was on hand to accept the award but didn't get to keep the trophy.  That is because each Grammy award is handmade which takes a few months.  Well they were finally done and

The Grammy Awards were last month and The Band Courtbouillon which consists of Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Regional Roots Music Album”. The Grammy Awards is this Sunday, February 10th and "The Band Courtbouillon" CD which consists of Cajun Music superstars Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy are nominated for a Grammy award.
