New Orleans Bounty Program

Put all the rumors to rest that Saints Head coach Sean Payton could be headed to Dallas to take over the Cowboys team.  It was reported late last night that Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints have agreed on a new five year deal worth big bucks.

After the news came down that former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue overturned current commissioner Roger Goodell's ruling of the bounty suspensions on four former and current New Orleans Saints players, now there are talks that Head Coach Sean Payton's suspension could be cut short.

  We reported in September that a three-man arbitration panel had overturned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s suspensions to four players in the alleged Bounty Scandal.  Then it was reported that Goodell was to meet with the four formerly suspended players will meet to discuss the matter. As we reported last week, the four players who were suspended for their alleged roll in the Bounty scandal with the New Orleans Saints, were reinstated after a panel overturned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's suspensions. Now, it is being reported that Roger Goodell and the four formerly suspended players will meet to discuss the matter.

After all the reports and meetings and suspensions over the New Orleans Saints and the alleged bounty scandal, a three-man arbitration panel have overturned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's ruling. What does it mean for four players suspended, especially the two current Saints players?

New Orleans Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt just couldn't hold his tongue any longer.  Vitt released a statement on the New Orleans Saints website addressing the "Bounty" scandal and accusations that he was involved.

The NFL is still insisting that they have a beau coup of evidence that the New Orleans Saints and their players carried out a bounty system within the organization.  Now the players who have been suspended over the scandal went to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday and wanted to see this evidence. They weren't to impressed with the meeting of evidence produced especially Saints Lin
