New to Lake Charles? Here’s How to Get Registered for the 2018-2019 School Year in Calcasieu Parish

The Calcasieu Parish School Board is making enrollment easier for parents of students who are new to Lake Charles. Last week, they set up the Calcasieu Parish Enrollment Center (CPEC) in the gym of the Lake Charles Boston Academy of Learning, located at 1509 Enterprise Boulevard.

There's one day left, Tuesday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for parents to stop by and get their child or children enrolled early with less hassle for the upcoming school year. Parents are asked to bring the following items to expedite the process.

• CWA Permit to Register
• Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• Current Immunization Record
• Special Education IEP records if applicable
• Photo ID of parent/guardian registering the child

The first day of school for students in Calcasieu Parish begins August 14, 2018.
