McNeese Baseball Face LSU Wednesday In Baton Rouge
The annual match up between the LSU Tigers and McNeese baseball teams will take place this Wednesday night in Baton Rouge. LSU and McNeese play at least once a year during the baseball team and lately it has been the Tigers on the winning side of the rivalry.
LSU is currently on a five game winning streak after sweeping Fordham over the weekend. The Tigers are 9-2 on the season and are currently ranked #7 nationally but the new polls will come out today.
McNeese took two out of three games over the weekend here in Lake Charles. They lost Friday night 5-3 to Bradley before coming back to win Saturday 3-1 and 9-3 on Sunday. The pokes are 5-4 on the season so far and look forward to the I-10 rivalry Wednesday night.
McNeese has already beat a ranked team this season as they beat then the #16 ranked Ragin' Cajuns from Lafayette.
McNeese and LSU are scheduled to face each other this Wednesday night at Alex Box stadium in Baton Rouge. They game should start at 6:30 p.m. weather permitting. The forecast is not looking that great. There is an 80% chance of rain that night.
