With the recent news of parades and activities being canceled for Mardi Gras this year in Lake Charles, it has revelers asking what to do next. We know there are other places still trying to make a run for the Mardi Gras season, but where can you actually go and celebrate a little bit of the Mardi Gras season?

The Welsh Mardi Gras association is holding their own parade and events at the end of the month to help ease the itch to pass a good time. Although this is their second year to have the event, they are reviving an old tradition that used to be in the town years prior. Although they will not be having an in town run this year like last year, they still have plenty of events going on throughout the day to enjoy with friends and family.

You can enjoy a parade in the town of Welsh that begins at 3:30pm, but that will not be the only thing going on during the day. They will feature live music beginning at noon until 9:00pm. You can enjoy the entire day for only $5.00, which is a heck of a deal for live music and activities for sure.

The event will be January 30, and the organizers ask that everyone practice social distancing, wear a mask, and take advantage of the hand sanitizing stations that will be placed all around the area.
