The LSU Tigers football team must have impressed the voters after handling up on then #8 Miami Sunday night.  The Tigers impressive beat down of the Hurricanes vaulted them to a huge jump in the national polls.

LSU jumped a jaw dropping 14 spots in the AP Poll from #25 to #11.  They also jumped up nine spots in Coaches poll.  The Tigers now sit at #15.

As for the team they beat Miami who was ranked #8 in the preseason, they fell big time.  The Hurricanes fell from #8 to #22.  That's 14 spots y'all.  They also dropped 13 spots in the coaches poll all the way down to #21.

Next up for the Tigers, they will host their first home game of the season when they face the Southland Conference's Southeastern Louisiana.  The game is set for 6pm and will be televised on ESPN2.
