We are sad to have to report that longtime radio broadcaster and former Gator 99.5 Program director and morning show host Todd (Willis) Stone has died.

Todd's career spanned decades in radio working for iconic local Southwest Louisiana radio stations.  Todd lent his talents on Q101 that was in Sulphur, KBIG 99 which was owned by Apex Broadcasting.

Todd Stone was also the morning show host and program director of Gator 99.5 doing the morning show with Mike Brignac and the legendary Dale Mann each morning.

On top of his love for radio, Todd was very passionate about music and playing music.  He was a well known local musician playing with many bands throughout his career.

He also was a police officer working for the Sulphur Police Department.

I've known Todd for many years going back to the Q101 days when my dad did a Cajun show and my mom sold radio advertising and both worked with him when I was just a kid.

We used to joke about how I was just a snot nosed kid to where I am now in broadcasting.  I will miss us laughing about my mom's Northern whinny voice and telling our police stories.

The Southwest Louisiana airwaves have lost another great talent. RIP Todd, you will be sorely missed.
