Lake Charles & Sulphur Voters May Be Voting In A New Location
The November 8 Midterm Open Congressional Primary Election is just days away and some voters in Lake Charles and Sulphur may be voting in a different location. The Louisiana Secretary of State, Kyle Ardoin, sent out a reminder to voters today (Friday, Nov. 4, 2022) in SWLA that the following polling places have been relocated due to hurricane damage repairs, and new construction or returning to original polling places.
1.) All residents who usually vote at Prien Lake Park Pavilion, 3700 West Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles will be relocated to:
Prien Lake Elementary School, 3741 Nelson Road, Lake Charles (Precinct Nos. 362 and 363). ( due to hurricane damage repairs.)
2.) All residents who usually vote at the Ward 4 Fire Protection District No. 4 Fire Station, 789 W. Houston River Road, in Sulphur will be relocated to:
Ward 4 Fire Protection District No. 4 Fire Station, 3000 North Claiborne Street, Sulphur (Precinct Nos. 460E and 460W). (due to the construction of a new fire station.)
3.) Some residents who usually vote at Frasch Elementary School, 540 South Huntington St., Sulphur will be relocated to:
Frasch Park Recreation Center, 400 Picard Road, Sulphur (Precinct Nos. 402 and 465). (a return to the original location because hurricane repairs are complete.)
