Lake Charles Police Conducting DWI Checkpoint This Wednesday And Thursday Feb. 11 And 12

Mardi Gras weekend is on it's way next weekend and with that being said, you can expect an increase in police presence on the roads in an ongoing effort to keep our streets safe and to prevent drunk drivers on the roads. 

In conjunction with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, the Lake Charles Police Department will be conducting checkpoints on February 11, 2015 and February 12, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at undisclosed locations in Lake Charles.

Deputy Chief Mark Kraus of the LCPD said that The Lake Charles Police Department will be conducting a checkpoint tonight at undisclosed location in Lake Charles.

With it being the Mardi Gras Season, please be careful out there!
