Public information officer for the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles, Matthew Boudreaux, told KPLC that even though the doors are back open you can't just walk up and receive assistance. Boudreaux says business will be handled on an appointment-only basis.

He went on to say that reinstatement services are no longer being handled in the OMV offices. They need to be handled by phone, mail, or at a public tag agency.

Boudreaux also noted that the state OMV offices are still enforcing social distancing in their locations.
