When you're not in the best shape of your life, there are all kinds of red flags that are showing you signs that maybe you need to start taking better care of yourself. Aside from the scale showing you a number that you'd rather not see is the tiredness that comes over your body.

This was me over the past couple of years. I was extremely tired and barely wanted to wake up in the mornings. I had days where I would go and work out, but I would never be able to give 100 percent because I would get winded or just tired from the routine. I met with my family physician and explained to him what I was feeling and he decided to do some blood work on me. When the results came back I was actually surprised at what I found out. One of the main components of my sluggish ways was having low Vitamin D. I have to admit I never thought about that before as most of us don't realize how so many different factors play a part in our lives.

He immediately prescribed a pill for me to help alleviate that problem and within a month I could notice a change in my energy. I was sleeping well and waking up before my scheduled time to go to the gym and occasionally had enough energy for 2 days at the gym. I was taking 1 pill a week of 50,000 Milligrams and I was also taking a daily supplement to go along with it.

A couple of weeks passed by, and we did another check on my vitals and to see where I was with my levels. My doctor came in and said that my Vitamin D levels were too high. I have to admit I was a little shocked when I heard this. First, because I didn't really know my numbers from the beginning so to hear that it was high, I immediately started to think about what I could do.

I would recommend that everyone get their blood work done and see where their levels are. It is also important to work on your level and get your vitamin D up as it will help you to get that energy that you need. It could be through supplements, prescriptions, or some of those beautiful rays of sunlight. So how do you know if your Vitamin D levels are too high? Well according to Healthline.com, some symptoms could be nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and weakness. Even though we are going on holiday, just make sure you take care of yourself and don't overdo it.
