Louisiana State Police Troop D and The Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will be holding a child seat safety event this weekend in Lake Charles.

When and Where:

  • Saturday April 12 from 11:00am to 2:00pm
  • Lake Charles Toyota at 3905 Gerstner Memorial Blvd.

Nationally certified child passenger safety seat technicians will be on hand to inspect your child's seat to see if it's installed correctly. You can also bring a child safety seat to the event and technicians will install it for you.

If you can't attend the event this weekend, you can always set up and appointment with the Louisiana State Police Troop D by calling 337-491-2519. Troopers who are nationally certified will inspect your child's seat or install one for you.

COVID-19 protocols will be followed at the event, such as wearing a mask and social distancing.
