The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office law enforcement training academy is getting ready this week to graduate their 103rd class.  The ceremony will be Wednesday Nov. 7th. The CPSO's training facility not only trains their Deputies but deputies and police officers from other cities from a five parish area.

Wow 103 classes. Some of you may know this but some may not. I was a Deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office for 10 years and I am a proud member of the 61st basic graduating class. We graduated in June 1997.
