The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office needs help identifying the suspects responsible for several vehicle burglaries in the area of Garland Drive and Leon Drive in Lake Charles.

The Vehicle Crimes Investigation Unit (VCIU) responded to the burglaries in the early morning of Tuesday, June 5, where detectives "reviewed video surveillance from the area which showed several individuals checking vehicles in the parking lot to see if they are unlocked", said the media release. "Detectives also observed an older 4 door car, dark in color, that they believe may be involved in the burglaries. The suspects stole a gun, as well as, several credit cards, phones, I-pads, and an undetermined amount of money from inside the vehicles."

"It is important to remember to lock our vehicles," stated Sheriff Tony Mancuso. "It is also just as important to make sure we don't leave any valuables in plain sight in your vehicle. You don't want to make yourself or your family an easy target."

Anyone with information regarding the burglaries can contact lead VCIU Detectives Finn Carlton or Hollan Dyer at 602.6836.
