Contraband Days Louisiana Pirate Festival Begins Today May 1st-13th
The 55th annual Contraband Days festival kicks off today for two weeks in downtown Lake Charles on the Civic Center grounds.
Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates will take over the city for two weeks packed full of great entertainment, carnival rides for the kids and lots of great food!
Also, Saturday May 12th, Contraband Days will have Cajun and Zydeco bands playing all day into the night on the outdoor Malibu Rum Stage.
Friday, Jean Lafitte and his Pirates will officially take over the city when they make Mayor Randy Roach walk the plank at 7 p.m.
