Citgo’s Electronic Recycling Day This Saturday
Do you have old electronic devices laying around the house just collecting dust?
Citgo is once again holding their E-Recycling Event this Saturday, and you can bring those items to be recycled and re-purposed into new items.
Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Location: McNeese Cowboy Stadium parking lot
According to a KPLC article, items being accepted for recycling are as follows:
- Computers, computer monitors, computer peripherals
- Printers, fax machines, keyboards
- Photocopiers
- TVs, VCRs, Stereos
- Home and Office Phones, Mobile Phones
- Consumer Electronics
Items that are not being accepted:
- Smoke detectors, fire alarms
- Dehumidifiers
- Large Appliances (i.e. refrigerators)
- Medical equipment
- Units with sludge or liquids
Mercury Items that will be accepted for recycling:
- Thermostats
- Thermometers containing metallic or liquid mercury
- Lamps (fluorescent, high-intensity discharge, neon, mercury vapor, high-pressure sodium and metal halide).
