Chapman Children Benefit This Saturday In Lake Charles
The past couple of years has been tough on all of us. We all know someone who lost their battle with COVID-19 or lost a loved one from the pandemic.
Such is the case for the Chapman Children who not only lost one but both of their parents to COVID.
Michael Lee Chapman and his wife Whitney Lee Chapman, ages 35 and 33, lost their battle with COVID-19 on 8/22/2021 and 9/4/2021 last year leaving behind their 3 children, Shelby who is 10, Wyatt 5, and Camille who is 2 years old.
Friends and family of the Chapmans have put together a benefit to help out these three children. According to the benefit's Facebook page,
The family is understandably shocked and saddened by this loss and unfortunately not financially prepared as this was unexpected. If you knew Michael and Whitney like we did, you’d know how much they touched the lives of everyone around them.
Michael's sister Stacey and her fiance Seth took on the responsibility of all three children and have been granted full custody of them. We are putting together a benefit to raise money to help support their children.
The Chapman Children's Benefit will take place this Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 in Lake Charles at the Cajun French Music Association building (CFMA) located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road.
They will have food and live music all day starting at 10:00 am.
Johnny Jimenez starts 10:00 am.
Brad Brinkley will close out the benefit and start around 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm.
