Do you hunt or have a hunter in your house? Have they gone through the hunter safety course yet? Well, then you are in luck because the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office hosting another Hunter’s Education Course this month.

they just finished up a course back on June 22 and June 23 but due to the demand, they will be holding another course next week.

The two-day event will take place on Wednesday, July 13 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and the class will continue on Thursday, July 14 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The course will be held at the Calcasieu Parish Regional Training Academy located at 3958 Mallard Cove in Lake Charles.  Participants must attend both days in order to receive credit for the course.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office,

This course is offered free of charge to anyone 10 years of age or older.  You must pre-register for the class by visiting https://louisianaoutdoors.com/events/191762.    For more information please call (337) 491-3784.

 

Refreshments will be provided on both days and lunch will be provided on Thursday.

So make sure to get your safety course done so that you will be ready for the upcoming Fall hunting season. Dring the fall here in Louisiana, it is Squirell, duck, geese, cove, and deer season.

You definitely want to make sure you have your credentials ready for the upcoming season and you can do that next week.
