Around lunch time on Monday, a 13-year-old girl forced the evacuation of the Dollar General Store on La. 14 after she called in a bomb threat.  Why?  She was 'bored.'  Well, now she's under arrest.  Who's bored now?

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said the deployed numerous resources to track down the source of the call, and that's what people need to remember.  The police have all kinds of means to find you when you do things like this.

For a lot of things, kids will be kids.  But when it comes to bomb threats, police don't mess around -- not in this day and age.  Not even a little bit.  Not even when you're 'bored.'  The little girl was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and is being charged with calling in a false bomb threat.

Obviously, due to the girl's young age, her name was not released.  But now's as good a time as any to remind the little munchkins in your life that bomb threats are serious business, and the consequences aren't pretty.
