Barbe Head Coach Mike Cutrera Named Southwest Louisiana Coach of the Year

It was a terrific year for the Barbe Bucs football team led by second year head coach Mike Cutrera.  Coach Cutrera lead the Bucs to a 13-2 record this season and the team reached the state championship game for only the second time in school history.

Ironically, Mike Cutrera played on the other team that reached the championship game in 1980.

The road to the dome was magical for the Barbe Bucs.  Who could forget there huge comeback win over West Monroe in which Barbe overcame a 27-point fourth quarter deficit to beat West Monroe 49-48 to stamp there ticket to the Dome.

Cajun Radio is proud to be the official home of Barbe Buccaneers for that past 8 seasons!  Congrats to the Barbe Bucs and Coach Cutrera on a great season!
