7am Update: Currently, Cindy is sitting at 27.5 North and 92.2 West moving Northwest at 8 mph.

Current Forecast Wednesday: High near 82. Northeast wind 30 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. 100 % Chance of rain. Rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday night: Tropical storm conditions expected.  Low around 77. East wind 30 to 40 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. 100 % Chance of rain. Rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

 

As you wake up this morning, we want to keep you updated on the location and status of Tropical Storm Cindy.  Currently, Cindy is sitting at 27.3 North and 91.9 West moving Northwest at 8 mph.

The forecast track takes it right up the state line between Texas and Louisiana right up the Sabine river.  Maximum sustained winds are 60 mph.

Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas are under a Tropical Storm Warning.  There is also a Flash Flood Warning in effect for the Calcasieu River at Old Town Bay.

The forecast for your Wednesday is 100% rain chance with Tropical Storm Conditions starting to move in after 7 a.m.  Winds will be out of the Northeast at 35-40 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

Tonight look for the same rain chance but winds ramping up to 35-40 mph with gusts to 55 mph.

Landfall of Cindy is expected to be around 1am Thursday morning.
