According to a City of Lake Charles media release, beginning on Monday, March 19, 2018, Entergy crews will be performing maintenance on the underground network in downtown Lake Charles. The construction will take place in the 600 block of Ryan Street, between Mill St. and Broad St. for the day. Work will also continue into Tuesday, March 20, and Wednesday, March 21, with work slated to begin at 8 a.m. each day.

"Entergy will be pulling in new feeder cables," which is required in upgrading the downtown facilities, said the media release.

The City assures the work being done won't cause power outages to Entergy customers on the downtown network. Drivers should adhere to posted detours, and be aware of flagmen out assisting with traffic control.

Check back each day for the latest road and street closures.
