The principal of P.S. 90 in Brooklyn has told the children that they can’t sing “God Bless the U.S.A.” at their graduation because it might “offend people of other cultures”. Thanks to the severe weather, we're seeing a rash of road closures and school closures this morning. Schools in Beauregard, Jeff Davis and Vernon parishes are shut down today, as are schools in Acadia, Lafayette, St. Landry, Vermillion and St. Martin parishes . Here's a list of roads that are also either closed or flooded:

We have been notified that W.W. Lewis Middle School in Sulphur has been closed today due to a power outage.  Parents are encouraged to go pick their kids as soon as they can.  It is unknown if the school will re-open tomorrow. We will update you on if the school will be open tomorrow...
