Ragin’ Cajuns Headed to First Bowl Game in 41 Years [VIDEO]
The University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns football team are headed to a post season bowl game for the first time in 41 years.
The University announced last night that they have accepted the invitation to be in the New Orleans Bowl on Saturday December 17th in the Mercedes Benz Superdome and be televised on ESPN.
The Cajuns are 8-3 on the year and 6-2 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin' Cajuns have just one game left in the regular season taking on Arizona Saturday at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the game cost $62 or $42. Tickets purchased from ULL’s ticket office will be located on the school’s side.
Tickets can be purchased by calling or visiting the school’s box offices at at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field (337-851-2011) or the Cajundome (337-265-2357). Or tickets may also be purchased at RaginCajuns.com.
Who will the Ragin' Cajuns play you ask?
With today’s invitation and acceptance, Bowl officials will now turn their attention to the Cajun’s Conference USA opponent. With four currently Bowl eligible teams in the Conference, and three more vying for eligibility in the last week of the season, that picture should become clearer in the next week.
