The LSU Tigers started the SEC baseball tournament yesterday afternoon.  After five innings, the game was suspended due to rain for over an hour but when play resumed the Tigers beat Missouri 10-3 in the first round of the SEC tournament.

The win advanced the Tigers in the winner bracket but more importantly, it gave head baseball coach Paul Mainieri his 500th win at LSU.  In his 11 seasons, Mainieri has a record of 500-199-3 which means he has won about 71 percent of his games he has coached at LSU.

Now LSU will take on the Kentucky Wildcats tonight in Hoover, Alabama. Kentucky beat South Carolina yesterday 7-2 to advance to face LSU.

The game has a 8:00 p.m. start and will be televised on the SEC Network.
