Back in December, Cajun Radio listeners voted Horace Trahan as their 2011 Artist of the Year in a landslide vote.  Horace finally made good on his promise to come accept the award and hold a small VIP concert, and we had an awesome time.

We had lunch catered by our friends at Chick-Fil-A and a special plaque made up by Creative Concepts.  Our VIPs came by for a special lunch concert, courtesy of Horace and his father-in-law, Rodney Bernard.

The two of them put on a show that had everyone tapping their toes.  Some people even started spontaneously dancing.

If you've never met Horace, he's a very shy, down-to-earth individual.  He's not used to people throwing awards at him, and he seemed a little uncomfortable with all the attention.  But once he got his accordions out and started jamming, he was in his element.

If you do nothing else, at least fast-forward to the 1:15 mark on the first video.  One young fan by the name of Ethan couldn't sit still in his seat any longer.  He took matters into his own hands, and if this doesn't make your day, you might want to get checked out.

After all of that, he graciously hung around to take pictures with the fans and sign autographs -- he's a class act, and that's probably why you voted him your Artist of the Year!
