I was born in Gulfport, Miss., and am the oldest male of a family with five kids. I am a military brat and no stranger to moving. My dad is from Louisiana and I learned the Louisiana lifestyle at an early age. I have been married to Sandy for over 25 years and have one son and one daughter. I moved to Lake Charles in 1984 and spent five years at Bayou 104, then 11 years at LA 99 and two years at KQ-98. I also worked for Clear Channel in Beaumont, KQIS in Lafayette and Citadel Broadcasting in Baton Rouge. Most of my career has been spent along the Gulf Coast. I have worked on the air through seven hurricanes and an ice storm. I was very humbled when awarded the Allstate Insurance Good Hands Award for my efforts with the Clear Channel Beaumont team while covering Hurricane Rita. Only seven non-insurance agents have ever received that award. I love to fish (and have my secret spots in the lake and river system) and I'm a big baseball and football fan. I coached Little League Baseball for 10 years, and kids’ basketball for two years, producing a 22-0 championship team! I'm very glad to be back in Lake Charles, working with long-time friends.
