Legendary Cajun music artist Aldus Roger who was known for accordion playing skills was one of the best of his time.

As I always am, I went searching for a video I could share with you and I found a good one!

The man behind the music, Mr. Aldus Roger,  was born in Carencro, Louisiana on February 10th, 1915. At a young age, Aldus wanted to play the accordion but his father didn't want him to.  Aldus however was determined and he would borrow an accordion and go play in his barn.

Later in life, Aldus led the "Lafayette Playboys" for over 20 years.

During the late 1950s and 1960s, he hosted his own music program on KLFY-TV 10 in Lafayette.

He recorded several albums, one with Rounder Records entitled "Aldus Roger & the Lafayette Playboys - Legend Series" in 1998 and another with La Louisiane Records entitled "Plays the French Music of South Louisiana" in 1993.
