Alabama’s BCS Trophy Shattered
Ok LSU fans, I know that the wound is still tender but this might just help a bit. It is being reported that the BCS National Championship trophy that Alabama won in January over LSU has been shattered.
The Crystal football that sits on top of the trophy, worth a reported $30 thousand dollars, was knocked off of it's base and shattered.
Did you just crack a smile? I know I did! Here is what happened.
USA Today is reporting:
The crystal football Alabama won for beating LSU in the BCS championship game in January was shattered on A-Day when it was accidentally knocked off a display by the father of a current player.
Athletic department spokesman Jeff Purinton said the Waterford Crystal trophy, valued at $30,000, was on display in the Mal Moore Athletic Facility as part of the festivities for the Crimson Tide's spring football game Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He says the man stumbled on a rug that was under the trophy display.
Oops! Well that is just proves that they shouldn't have even been in the game in the first place. i mean LSU beat them in the regular season, LSU Won the SEC Championship and what did Alabama do? Nothing.
Oh I am sorry, they didn't do nothing. They won a trophy for a game they shouldn't have been in and now they BROKE it too! LOL
