In an update concerning the bodies found in a Lake Charles home this week, Dr. Terry Welke, Calcasieu Parish Coroner says his office is conducting a toxicology test to determine if drugs possibly played a role in the deaths. According to a news release by the city, Dr. Welke stated that he observed "no signs of injury or foul play" on neither of the deceased.

The two individuals have been identified as Brigitte Derouen Shows, 51, and Jason Edward Thoman, 35. The Lake Charles Police Department investigation into the matter continues.
