Update On Early Morning Shooting In Lake Charles

The following is a press release from the Lake Charles Police Department:

5/31/11 @ 23:25:35 hours LCPD responded to a shooting at SUNLIGHT MANOR APARTMENTS located in the 1800 block of Brick Street.  Upon arrival Officers located a victim on Lyons Street just north of Brick Street & victim was transported to LCMH for treatment by Acadian ambulance.

32 year old black male Corey Demond Thomas, address 1411 Clarence Street, Westlake, La., was pronounced dead at LCMH.  A second victim was transported to LCMH where they were treated & released.  Investigation is on going at this time.
