The Fourth of July weekend is upon us, and this holiday is about more than celebrating our nation's independence. There is a nationwide blood shortage, and it's even more critical of an issue here in SWLA. So, roll up your sleeve and please give the gift of life by donating blood now through July 3. LifeShare Blood Center (214 Dr. Debakey Drive) is pulling out all the stops to make it easy for people to donate.

Hosting its annual United We Give, United We Live Blood Drive, residents in SWLA  have an opportunity to make a huge difference here at home.

Having an ample blood supply in SWLA is critical. So, there are several incentives to motivate the surrounding public. Every person who donates will receive all kinds of goodies to include: a free LifeShare ‘United We Give, United We Live’ t-shirt, a free chicken dinner Box Combo from Raising Cane’s, and a code for free delivery from Waitr.

This holiday weekend, all LifeShare locations will operate at extended hours. Lake Charles blood drive times are as follows:

  • Friday, July 2: 8:00am-7:00pm
  • Saturday, July 3: 8:00am-3:00pm
