Tropical Depression #9 Forms In Atlantic
It's August and the height of Hurricane season. Reports are out now that Tropical Depression #9 has formed in the Atlantic and the forecast is for it to become a Tropical storm by this afternoon and a hurricane by Thursday.
Here is the storms current location and 5 day forecast below.
At 8:00 a.m. AST the center of Tropical Depression 9 was located near latitude 15.1 north, longitude 51.8 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 20 mph, 32 km/h, and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.
The forecast track, the cyclone should move through the central Lesser Antilles Wednesday afternoon, and emerge over the eastern Caribbean Sea by Thursday morning.
