The Austin, Texas eatery that started off in a food trailer announced last year that they were headed to Lake Charles. This made it the second Torchys to be opening in Louisiana, with one located in Shreveport and one on the way to Baton Rouge. After it was built, the taco place began to hire employees and get ready to open up. They were forced to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and there was no clear answer on when they would be able to open up officially.

It seems that answer is now clear. On their front door is a sign saying the new Lake Charles taco place will officially open on June 17! It appears to have a large, shaded, outdoor dining area as well.

They will be open 7 days a week, and at 8:00am on weekends for breakfast. Check out the store for yourself on June 17 in Lake Charles at 3407 Nelson Road!
