Top Ranked LSU Tigers Baseball Suffers First Loss Of The Season To The Ragin’ Cajuns
The top ranked LSU Tigers Baseball team faced #10 ranked Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns last night in a battle of of two Louisiana teams that aren't more than an hour from each other.
The Tigers lost 4-1 to #10 Louisiana-Lafayette last night in a game that was stopped in the top of the sixth inning due to inclement weather. The loss is the first for the Tigers this season who now move to 7-1 on the season.
Tuesday’s loss ended LSU’s 34-game win streak in regular-season mid-week games and its 32-game win streak against Louisiana schools. The Tigers’ last loss in both categories came to Northwestern State on April 15, 2011, in Alex Box Stadium.
The win was the eighth straight for Louisiana-Lafayette which improves the Ragin' Cajuns record to 8-1 on the season.
LSU returns back to action this Friday at Alex Box stadium to face Yale at 7:00 p.m.
The Ragin' Cajuns returns to action on Friday at 6 p.m. when they face Alabama in Lafayette.
