Three Louisiana Cities Make The ‘Happiest Cities In America’ List
Wallethub puts out an annual list of the "Happiest Cities In America" list, and this year, three Louisiana cities made the Top 200.
A new study has ranked 180 of America's largest cities in order of happiness. The pandemic has been especially rough for big-city residents. Their day is heavily dependent on social interaction with other people, whether it's communicating to work on public transportation or just wading through the sea of people to get wherever you need to be. However, some cities have done better than others in keeping their residents happy.
Wallethub took into consideration several different measurables to craft their list:
- Life satisfaction scores
- Depression rates
- Physical and emotional health
- Income growth
- Employment rates
- Job satisfaction
- Weather
Believe it or not, with heavy state and local taxation, federal regulations killing Louisiana's oil and natural gas industry, and many devastating hurricanes the last few years, Louisiana actually had three cities make the list.
