History is being made at Delta Downs when three horses that raced In the Delta Downs Jackpot will start in today's 139th Kentucky Derby.

Track Announcer Don Stevens with Delta Downs told us that Goldencents, Mylute and Itsmyluckyday each raced in Vinton, Louisiana during the Delta jackpot and are now on their way to the starting gate at Churchill Downs.

Goldencents won last year’s $1,000,000 Delta Downs Jackpot under regular rider Kevin Krigger.

Goldencents, who is partly owned by the University of Louisville head basketball coach Rick Pitino, will attempt to give O’Neill his second consecutive win in the Kentucky Derby.

Goldencents drew post position #8 for the Kentucky Derby and has been installed at morning line odds of 8-1. The #8 post position has produced 10 winners of the big race since 1900.

Mylute finished third to Goldencents at Delta Downs before prepping for this year’s Kentucky Derby at Fair Grounds in New Orleans.

Mylute drew post position #6 for Saturday’s showdown and has been assigned program odds of 20-1. Mylute’s starting spot in the gate has produced six winners over the last 113 years.

Itsmyluckyday finished sixth at Delta Downs last year before heading back to his home base of south Florida for trainer Edward Plesa, Jr.

Itsmyluckyday drew post position #12 for Saturday’s showdown and will start the wagering at odds of 12-1 in the program. The #12 post position has produced three winners of the race since 1900.
