Marshland festival

  We caught up with your 2011 Cajun Radio Artist of the Year today,  Horace Trahan .  He stopped by the Cajun Radio studios to talk with us about his brand new CD coming out next week called "All The Way". We also talk to Horace about his experience performing at the Marshland Festival and what you folks can expect this Saturday night, July 28th, when Horace performs live from 6:30 p.m.

The 2012 Marshland Festival opens tonight inside the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum. This years festival is full of great food, fun and a terrific lineup of entertainment! The Marshland Festival has been named a top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society.  The Marshland Festival prides itself putting on a festival that is fun for the entire family and to raise money for the youth of Hackberry and surrounding communities. It turns out that Friday’s Marshland Festival’s opening night was the farewell performance from our friends in Hip Boot Joe. Damon Troy and the Final Five tore the roof off the Civic Center Friday night and then set the coliseum on fire as the headliner for night one of the Marshland Festival.  We grabbed this shot from the side of the stage before security could tackle us.
