As we reported last week, Trapper Joe Lafont from the hit reality show "Swamp People" was scheduled to appear in an Orange County, Florida, court room on July 19th to a enter his 'guilty' or 'not guilty' plea for assault and domestic battery. Around lunch time on Monday, a 13-year-old girl forced the evacuation of the Dollar General Store on La. 14 after she called in a bomb threat.  Why?  She was 'bored.'  Well, now she's under arrest.  Who's bored now?

It is almost here college football fans!  The college football season is getting close and the McNeese Cowboys football team is ready for action. The Cowboys are looking to improve from last years 6-5 mark and will be doing it on TV too.

A Lafayette Parish grand jury indicted Brandon Scott Lavergne for the first degree murder of the still-missing Mickey Shunick.  But in a bombshell, grand jurors also found enough evidence to also charge him with the first degree murder of an Acadia Parish woman who was found dead in 1999.

It's not much, but all of us who are still hoping that Mickey Shunick will still be found can help in some small way tonight. Mickey's family is asking for a mass moment of silence at 10 p.m. tonight, and they're also asking you to show your support by turning on your porch lights or lighting a candle.  If nothing else, it at least brings some positive energy to a sad story.

As we reported last month, Trapper Joe Lafonte from the hit reality show "Swamp People" was arrested by police after a drunken disturbance outside the Buena Vista Hotel & Spa in Florida after a witness claimed he struck Trene Marie Planche. Now, Joe will head back to Florida this Thursday, July 19th to answer the charges and have his day in court.

The hit reality show "Swamp People" on the History Channel is gearing up for a new season and are now casting alligator hunters for season four of the popular show. Alligator season in Louisiana starts on September 1st and runs for thirty days and ends on September 30th.  Think you have what it takes to be on the show?  Well here is where they are doing the casting calls.
