Westlake native and former ‘American Idol’ contestant Joshua Ledet will be part of a new eBay-affiliated web series starting on Sept. 19 that will hopefully raise funds for the American Red Cross.

Season 11 'American Idol' star, Joshua Ledet's White House performance for President Obama, will air as part of the PBS “Memphis Soul” special. His performance will air on PBS tonight, April 16 at 7 p.m.

Joshua Ledet is back in the news today for two reasons.  First, he is celebrating his 21st birthday today and second he will be singing at the White House with a all star cast of artists for the President tonight.

This year was the one in which "Swamp People" became a household name, but also a year in which the show suffered some loss and some disappointment.  It was also the year when the saga Mickey Shunick gripped us.  But it was also the year Joshua Ledet lit up our hearts and TV screens with his amazing talent -- 2012 was a dynamic year, for sure.

The McNeese Cowboys will be back at home this Saturday October 13th when they take on Central Arkansas. The Cowboys will also have a very special guest singing the National Anthem.  American Idol finalist and Westlake Louisiana's own Joshua Ledet will sing the anthem before Saturday football game.

Joshua Ledet has been busy since American Idol ended in May. Joshua, who is from right here in Southwest Louisiana, is gearing up for the American Idol tour which will stop in Lafayette July 30th. Home town boy Joshua Ledet didn't make the final two on American Idol coming up just one place short.  With that being said, will you watch the American Idol Finale tonight?

Joshua Ledet got voted off of American Idol last night and Facebook was in an uproar. I just checked my Facebook page and noticed that Joshua Ledet updated his status telling fans not to be sad for him and that he had just singed a huge deal. That's BIG news! Here's what he had to say.

Joshua Ledet was just eliminated from American idol coming in 3rd place.  That leaves Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips left in the finale.  He will always be Southwest Louisiana's American Idol!!!
