The McNeese Cowboys enjoyed a bye week last week after going 1-1 in their first two games. The Cowboys also we rewarded this week moving up in the national polls.
The McNeese Cowboys opened up their 2014 home football schedule last Saturday in Lake Charles and did it in a huge way! The Cowboys beat up Prairie View 48-16 to improve to 1-1 on the year,
The dominating win over the Panthers was not enough to move the Cowboys up in the polls this week however as the Pokes stayed put in both the Sports Network and FCS Coaches Top 25 polls.
The McNeese State Cowboys football team beat Northwestern State 43-17 last Saturday night in Cowboys Stadium to improve to 9-2 on the season and 5-1 in Southland Conference play.
With the win, the Cowboys jumped three spots in both the Sports Network and FCS Coaches' Top 25 polls this week.
McNeese State Cowboys football team won 69-38 over Southland Conference foe Stephen F. Austin last Saturday night. The Cowboys are now 8-2 on the year and 4-1 in the Southland Conference.
The McNeese Cowboys football team were stunned at home last Saturday night by Southeastern Louisiana losing the game 41-7. The Cowboys are now 7-2 on the season and are 3-1 in Southland Conference play.
With the loss, the Cowboys also fell in both major polls.
After beating up Central Arkansas Saturday 59-28 and getting their first Southland Conference win, the McNeese Cowboys moved up in both polls and their players swept the Southland Conference weekly player honors.
After starting the season at 4-0, the McNeese Cowboys stumbled over the weekend losing to the University of Northern Iowa 41-6. The loss now has the cowboys at a 4-1 overall record and they fell in both FCS polls that were released this week.
