The Mardi Gras season is almost here and it all gets started this Saturday night with the inaugural 12th night celebration in Lake Charles.

The 2017 festival season is upon us! That's right Mardi Gras 2017 is coming and it all starts tomorrow night to get the season started with 12th night.

12th night begins tonight as thousands of people will flock to the Lake Charles Civic Center tonight to celebrate the start of the 2015 Mardi Gras season.

Thousands of people will flock to the Lake Charles Civic Center tonight to celebrate the start of the 2014 Mardi Gras season. Twelfth night kickoffs of the Mardi Gras season and will feature the outgoing Kings and Queens from the 2013 Mardi Gras year tonight in their final reign.

If you love all the pomp and glitter of Mardi Gras .,.. you are going to love 12th night. It is a gathering of more than 50 Lake area Mardi Gras Krewes and their royalty (all in full costume.)

It's carnival time in Southwest Louisiana and the Mardi Gras season officially kicks off tonight with the annual 12th night celebration inside the Lake Charles Civic Center.
