The Louisiana Swashbucklers will be holding tryouts this Saturday December 17th at the McNeese State football stadium.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. will the tryouts beginning at 9 a.m.

Think you have what it takes?  Well here is how you can be part of a championship organization.


The Louisiana Swashbucklers sent out a press release inviting players to try out for the 2012 squad.

This is what you will need to know:

Tryouts for the Louisiana Swashbucklers are coming soon! Potential players wanting to be a part of the team for 2012 can show what they got on Saturday, December 17, at the McNeese State football stadium. The address is 700 East McNeese Street in Lake Charles. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with tryouts getting underway at 9.

Registration fees are $40 in advance and $50 on the day of tryouts. Advanced registration can be paid in the form of an online credit card, cashier’s check or money order. On the day of tryouts fees can be paid in the form of cash, cashier’s check or money order. No personal checks will be accepted. Fees are non-refundable. Athletes are asked to bring their own workout gear, including cleats, tennis shoes, shorts and sweats. Shoes with metal cleats are not allowed.

Activities include a 40 yard dash, 20 yard short shuffles and “L” drills. This will be followed by position drills and one-on-one drills. The tryouts are expected to last about three hours.

The Swashbucklers have been to five straight championship games and looking for a sixth trip in 2012. Darnell Lee is the head coach of the Bucs.
