Sad news for the Black and Gold nation this morning. We have learned that New Orleans Saints legendary running back turned Saints radio broadcaster, Hokie Gajan, has died at the age of 56.

Hokie Gajan, who was born in Baker Louisiana, had a great career playing for his home state's football team. After playing for the LSU Tigers, Gajan entered the NFL draft and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1981.

Gajan played for the Saints from 1981 to 1985 before retiring. However, that wasn't the end of Hokie's career in football, as he traded his helmet and pads in for a microphone and headphones.

Hokie Gajan joined the Saints radio broadcasting team. Gajan was the the color commentator for the Saints radio network for years.

Hokie Gajan passed away yesterday, April 11th, after battling the rare cancer form liposarcoma. That is two Saints legends that have passed away in the past three days.
