Pierre Thomas and Keenan Lewis Both Practice With Saints
The Showdown is tomorrow at 3:20. The playoff rematch between the Saints and Seahawks. The Saints appear to be getting healthy just in time for the toughest and biggest game of the year.
Pierre Thomas missed the last game with back problems and though he did not have a full practice ... he was on the practice field and working out with the team. There was now word on whether or not he will play. This is always a chess match between coaches because they really don't want the other coach to know who will or will not be ready to play. All they tell the media is who di and who did not practice. Pierre was listed as having a light practice. Another player who could have a big impact and was listed as having a light practice is Defensive end Akiem Hicks.
Listed as "full practice" were Corner Back Keenan Lewis (who missed much of last weeks game,) Offensive Guard Jhari Evans (a 5 times Pro Bowler) and rookie tackle Terron Armstead.
Having Lewis back is huge for the Saints because Seattle's Wide receiver Percy Harvin is going to play this weekend and he will test the Saints defensive secondary.
Seattle's number one ranked defense means that having Evans and Armstead back is huge for the Saints. When you combine that with a possible return for Pierre Thomas the Saints running game could be at full strength just in time.
Playoff games are epic battles and this one promises to be a good one. I have always felt you want both teams to be at full strength. It is the only true way to see who is the better team. Who Dat!
