Moody Gardens Galveston Presents The ‘Air, Car And Boat Show’
Moody Gardens Galveston, Texas is extending an invite to SWLA residents to experience three special events that will take place in August. Summer ain't over and if you're looking to get the most bang out of your sunshine, head to Galveston Island next month. August 12 through 28 will be locked down with family-friendly excitement that is brand new to Galveston Island. Below is a brief description of the month-long scheduled events:
August 12 - 14 - Air, Car & Boat Show - See iconic airplanes P-63 King Cobra, The Ghostwriter, and DH-115 Vampire show planes perform daredevil stunts day and night. It’s a car lover’s dream featuring rows and rows of classic cars inside the Moody Gardens Convention Center. Last but not least, a spectacular Boat Show featuring several spectacular yachts and incredible boats at the Moody Gardens Marina.
August 26, 27, & 28 - Bicycle Rideout & Expo - Participating cyclists can choose from a variety of Explore on Your Own Tours, such as the Bike Pub Crawl, Reserved Back Alley Bicycler Zone, a Saturday Night Palm Beach Party complete with fireworks, and finally a Breakfast with the Pros event on Sunday.
August 19 - 21 - Dive Into The Gulf: An Exposition - The worlds of SCUBA, science, conservation, art, and education come together for a special weekend for the dive community. Pre-registration is welcome for participants, who bring their swimsuits and want to learn how to take a dive and SCUBA. Guests can visit booths and vendors, meet with experts, and enjoy presentations from the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, Texas A&M University Galveston, the Divers Alert Network, and much more. Tickets are also available for a dive community dinner and more diver fellowship.
Moody Gardens President and CEO, John Zendt said of the upcoming events,

From the thrill of the air show with spectacular daytime aerobatics and evening pyrotechnic performances to classic and muscle cars or yachts, we are covering a wide range of interests.” Zendt added, “Bicyclists are going to love a scenic ride out to the West End of Galveston that the Island Rideout offers and other local points of interest, and dive enthusiasts will appreciate the speaker presentations and activities created specifically who love the ocean.”
