McNeese Baseball Travels To Baton Rouge To Face LSU Today

It's that time in the season when the McNeese Cowboys baseball team will face off against the LSU Tigers on the diamond. Some years, LSU comes to Lake Charles but this year, McNeese will travel to take on LSU in Baton Rouge at Alex Box Stadium.

LSU is currently 17-11 on the season but they have been struggling in SEC play. They sit at 1-8 in the SEC, winning only one game in their conference so far this season which is very uncharacteristic of the Tigers. They also lost six of their last seven games, which has most LSU baseball fans stunned.

The McNeese Cowboys baseball squad are sitting at 14-13 on the season. Unlike the Tigers, McNeese is doing pretty well in conference play. They currently sit at 8-7 in Southland Conference play. Now, they are struggling as of late like the Tigers. The Cowboys have lost six of their eight games, too.

The Tigers and Cowboys face off tonight in the box in Baton Rouge. First pitch for the game is set for 6:30pm. The game will also be televised on the SEC Network plus and over the radio.
