McNeese Baseball Shock No. 2 Nicholls In First Round Of SLC Tournament — Advance To Round Two To Face Central Arkansas

The McNeese Cowboys baseball team got a little pay back yesterday by beating No.2 seeded Nicholls yesterday and avenged a series sweep they suffered over this past weekend to end the regular season.

The No. 7 seeded Cowboys beat Nicholls 4-2 yesterday to advance in the winners bracket.

The win also broke a five game tournament losing streak for the Cowboys.

The opening round victory was the first for the Cowboys since the 2010 season.  The McNeese Cowboys now advance to play six-seeded Central Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. tonight and you can hear all the action here on Cajun Radio!
